One of the largest institutions in Kentucky needed an Accounts Tracking database built. However, the database requirements were different for many of the departments in the Institution. A large “off-the-shelf” software package had failed to provide adequate flexibilty for many of the departments.
 

Lakeshore Software developed a custom solution for one of the departments. The features in this application far exceeded what was available in the “off-the-shelf ” program. However, the real benefits came when a 2nd and a 3rd and a 4th and a 5th department asked for a quote. Each department got a tailor made application, and the total cost to the Institution for all the different versions was less than the off-the-shelf program.

Also, over several years, Lakeshore Software ported the applications to 2 additional database platforms as the Institution changed it’s infrastructure.
